Situational awareness is a critical skill / discipline that involves being fully cognizant of one’s surroundings and understanding the context of a given environment or situation. It encompasses the ability to observe, interpret, and make decisions based on the information available in real-time. In our Situational Awareness class, you will be immersed in the art and science of developing acute awareness of your surroundings, enabling you to proactively identify potential concerns. This leads to the ability to make informed, on-the-spot decisions to enhance your personal safety with the objective of avoiding hazards and dangerous situations altogether. Whether you are interested in personal safety, emergency preparedness, or simply improving your day-to-day awareness, this course is designed to empower you with the skills you need.
